Dasarath (David Davidson, Ph.D.), President of WisdomWork, is a corporate coach and retreat leader. A life-long student of the Perennial Philosophy, he applies the core teachings and practices of the world's spiritual, philosophical and psychological traditions toward mastery and self-realization in our daily life and work. After receiving his Ph.D in History from Yale University in 1970 and teaching Latin American History at Cornell University for six years, Dasarath immersed himself fully in the inner life. He has studied and practiced with masters in Zen, Vipassana, Yoga and Advaita Vedanta, in contemporary American approaches to enlightenment, as well as investigating his native Judaeo-Christian tradition. He was on the staff of the Beech Hill Zen Center for two years under the tutelage of Rinzai Zen Master Joshu Sasaki Roshi. He has attended intensive retreats with S.N. Goenka, Swami Satchidananda, a number of American Vipassana teachers, and has worked with Werner Erhard and the est trainers. He has also had training in emotional trauma release, holistic health and psychoneuroimmunology. Most recently, his five-year association with Advaita Master Sri H.W.L.Poonja (Papaji), who gave him the name Dasarath in 1993, radically transformed his sense of identity and teaching work. Since his awakening with Papaji, Dasarath has focussed on sharing a direct approach to being awake and masterful at work.
In 1980 Dasarath launched his training, consulting and coaching business. He maintained a private counseling practice for a decade, and as Director of Transformation Workshops and President of Mastery Training & Consulting, has given hundreds of seminars on empowerment and high performance, stress and change management, team building, meditation and spiritual development throughout the U.S. His regular corporate clients have included Corning Incorporated, Cornell University, Carondelet Management Institute, and Harbin Hot Springs Conference & Retreat Center, in addition to a wide range of hospitals, small businesses, and school districts. He has been on the faculty of The Omega Institute for Holistic Studies and taught at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Well-Being. Dasarath also founded and moderated the Wisdom_at_Work Internet discussion group for two years with focus on spirituality and awakening consciousness in the workplace.

WisdomWork reflects the grace of my master Sri H.W.L. Poonja (Papaji), and his master Sri Ramana Maharshi, magnificent exemplars of freedom who revealed to me the underlying peace, freedom and happiness that can be experienced fully in the midst of making a living.
